Lit bug has hit me and my newest book, The

marks a big addition to my career. I say "addition",
not "switch",
so no worries, I am not giving up Harlequin, but this story was
in me and just had to be told. Today marks the first
day you can read an excerpt from
this book online, and I hope you do, because if the advance buzz
is any indication, this book will resonate with readers (which
thrills me!). It's about life, picking up the pieces and
moving on. It's about fairy tales, and what happens after "happily
